Assam Public Service Commission has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 212 Assistant Engineer (Civil), Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) and Junior Engineer (Civil) vacancy under the Water Resources Department, Govt. of Assam. 1. Assistant Engineer (Civil)

No of posts: 45

Category-wise vacancy:

# UR: 5

# SC: 7

# STP: 5

# STH: 4

# OBC/MOBC: 24

Pay: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- PM (PB-4) with Grade Pay of Rs.12,700/- PM

Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2025.

Educational Qualification:

(i) Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology in Civil Engineering (B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering) from an Indian or Foreign University recognized by Govt.
OR
Candidate must have passed (Part A & B) of AMIE (India) in Civil Engineering if he/she had enrolled in AMIE course on or before 31-05-2013.

(ii) The Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology must be a Regular Course recognized by AICTE/ UGC as mentioned in Point No. (i). Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called will not be accepted.

2. Assistant Engineer (Mechanical)

Pay: Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- PM (PB-2) with Grade Pay of Rs.8,700/- PM

Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on 01-01-2025.

Educational Qualification:

(i) Candidate must have 3 (Three) years Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Construction Technology/ Civil & Planning from any technical institute recognized by AICTE.

(ii) The Diploma course in Civil Engineering/ Construction Technology must be a Regular Full time course. Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Construction Technology obtained through Distance mode of education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.

Eligibility Criteria of Water Resources Department Recruitment

Residentship:

(i) The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
(ii) The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose/ Employment Exchange Registration certificate along with the application form.

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable as mentioned below

# By 5 years for SC/ST candidates i.e. up to 43 years.
# By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. up to 41 years.
# For Persons with benchmark disability (PwBD) by 10 years.
