Gauhati University has released an employment notification for the recruitment of Research Associate (RA), Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Project Assistant (PA)/ Engineer and Laboratory Bearer vacancy for the DST sponsored research project “Indian Participation in the ALICE experiment at CERN”. ALICE is one of the four major experiments of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) of CERN, Switzerland. Intending and eligible candidates may apply here .

1. Research Associate (RA-I)

Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Experimental High-Energy/ Nuclear Physics.

Fellowship: Rs. 47,000/- + HRA +MA (as per present GU norms) (per month).

2. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
No of posts: N/A

Educational Qualification: 1st class M.Sc. in Physics with Nuclear/ High-Energy Physics as special paper.

Fellowship:
• for NET/GATE qualified: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA + MA (per month)
• for non- NET/GATE: Rs: 25,000/- + HRA + MA (per month).

3. Project Assistant (PA)/ Engineer
No of posts: N/A

Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Physics or B.Tech. (Electronics)

Pay: 20,000/- + HRA (per month)

4. Laboratory Bearer
No of posts: N/A

Educational Qualification: H.S. Candidate having work experience in a project in a similar post will be given preference.

Pay: 9000/- per month (fixed).
